Jewels For Hope

On Tuesday I was watching TV and the show Better Connecticut was on. Better Connecticut is a lifestyle show on WFSB Channel 3, hosted by Scot Haney (weatherman and one of the funniest guys around) and Kara Sundlun (who anchors Eyewitness News at Noon).

The segment was called “Better Style: Beautiful Hand-made Jewelry for a Great Cause”.  The segment featured a local Connecticut company called Jewels for Hope. The jewelry was beautiful and the owners mentioned that they donated to a lot of causes!

I immediately visited their website www.jewelsforhope.net.

“At Jewels For Hope you’ll find the classic style of Audrey Hepburn, the bohemian look of Janice Joplin, and the sassy feel of Betsey Johnson, all made from the heart. Sandy and Stevie love to work with the best materials such as Swarovski Crystals, Swarovski Pearls, and one-of-a-kind vintage pendants.”

I’m not a “girly girl” and these bracelets and other Jewels for Hope jewelry were both stylish and very 2013!!  The website even featured men from the entertainment industry wearing the bracelets.  This seemed too good to be true…but I thought what can it hurt to try…I posed on the Jewels for Hope Facebook page and asked if they would consider adding A Cure In Sight to their list of charities they donate to.

Stevie Lynn D’Andrea, Co-Owner/Manager of Jewels for Hope got back to us – and we are excited to announce:  Jewels for Hope will be designing a bracelet to benefitA Cure In Sight™!

Jewels for Hope is working on a bracelet design just for us, featuring the ACIS colors of dark blue and black. Here is a sample of two bracelets just so readers can get an idea of the really trendy look of these bracelets…the blue and clear crystal bracelet is from their “Save the Sound” line; the green & white Graffiti Print bracelet in the “Sandy Hook” line, and benefits The Lauren Rousseau Memorial Scholarship.
